Heaven and Earth Designs has some amazingly complex and detailed patterns, and it's all really lovely fantasy art. I'm just a very slow stitcher (too many hobbies) so I've never actually completed one. :)
That looks amazing. *_* I'm always tempted by H&E designs but I'm a procrastinator (and the usual 25ct fabric is intimidating) so I know I'd never finish. Good luck with it, it's going to look brilliant when it's finished. :)
I don't use 25 count fabric. I like to loop start my threads, so I don't stitch on anything higher than 18 because otherwise the two strands start to get really crowded. Trust me, I'm a procrastinator too... I've been working on this on and off for several years, and doing other stitches (and other hobbies) in between. :) This is one of their "Quick Stitches", and it has 31,350 stitches in it. o.O
Thank you! I hope I can have the persistence to finish it in a reasonable amount of time, haha.
That's a 'quick stitch'? *grins* I'd be in trouble then. And yeah, I can imagine it would get crowded at the back with the ct fabric that high. I don't always loop start but either way it would probably get pretty awkward to work with.
Haha, yeah this is considered a Quick Stitch. Some of their full-size patterns have hundreds of thousands of stitches in them. :)
I like to loop start because it locks down so nicely and then there aren't two sets of tails in the back (beginning and end). It definitely can get pretty complicated in the back. It's almost like a tapestry, really. o.o

Date: 2011-08-23 09:01 pm (UTC)I work these on 18 ct aida, there's no way I would do them on the tiny count fabric they call for. Maybe you could give it a try! :)
