cross_stitch | Progress on two projects (Reply)

I am STILL working on that allotment wall hanging! Making steady progress towards the bottom of it at the moment. Here's a previous progress picture for comparison. Weirdly I only posted that one to my own account rather than here, which I don't normally do. I wonder if I actually meant for it to go here and forgot to change the 'to' field at the time. Oh well.

This was my summer holiday project. We like to go away for a week to a rented summer house and I like to take a new project with me for that, rather than whatever I'm otherwise working on. I couldn't tell you why. It's not like I ever get close to finishing it while we're away, but it just feels more holiday-y somehow. This is one week's progress. I don't really think I got very far, which just shows that we did lots of other things on our holiday. I cut the fabric WAY too large for this one. I might trim it down a bit when I get back to it. I found this one in an issue of Cross Stitch Crazy, one of the few things from that magazine I actually felt like making. Not a subscription I chose to renew for another year. Having a go with Cross Stitch Gold instead now, and have received the first issue. That's SO much more to my taste. :) (I do still miss Cross Stitch Collection, though.)

Well, my afternoon plans just fell through due to illness (not me) and it's a bit grey and rainy outside. Good day to get some more allotment work done!
