xinef: (cross stitch)
[personal profile] xinef
My father recently found a cross stitch wall hanging that was done by my grandmother and stashed away in a drawer for years. Not properly stored. Anyhow, it has some brown age spots on the fabric. I wondered if there is any way to get them out without damaging the fabric or the stitching? Note, I haven't even washed it yet, wanted to find out how to handle it first.

Since Grannie died in 1986, this was probably done in the 70s or early 80s, possibly earlier but I doubt it. So is over 20 years old, at least.

Suggestions?

[personal profile] gblvr and I went to In Stitches in Alexandria and stayed there a good 2 1/2 hours. For those who care for a review of the store there will be one posted soon. ;-)

As for what I bought there... Since I am not using my own computer I can't upload my pictures. But I can link!
